Backup Unlimited PCs to One Account

With SendOffsite, you can backup as many PCs as you want to a single SendOffsite account. Many households have more than one computer, and unlike our competitors SendOffsite allows you to backup all of them to a single SendOffsite account, with no extra licensing fees.

There are certain situations however, where it might make sense to have multiple SendOffsite accounts. If you do not want one PC user to have access to backed up files from another PC, then you would want to have a separate account for that user.

Unlimited Versioning

With SendOffsite, all versions of your backed-up files are retained, but only one copy (the latest version) counts towards your allowable plan storage space. With Unlimited Versioning, you get an unlimited version history of all your files. Roll back your books to last year's tax records if you wish! You can easily go back to any point in time to recover older versions of your files.

Unlimited Archiving

Unlike other backup systems, we do not delete old files that you are no longer actively backing up. For example, let's say you delete a file or folder from your PC. If that file or folder used to be included in your backups, you will still be able to retrieve it later on even though it is no longer being backed up. The vast majority of data loss comes from accidental deletion. With SendOffsite, you can feel safe that if you accidentally delete a file from your PC that you used to backup... even if you don't discover the deletion until many months later, you will still be able to retrieve the deleted file.

Continuous Data Protection

You have the option of setting the SendOffsite Backup Utility to monitor certain files for continuous backup. As soon as a change is detected in a monitored file, we'll back it up instantly.

Backups are Totally Automatic

Once you choose whether you want your backups to occur monthly, weekly, daily or even hourly, and set the time of day for your backups to occur, you're done! From that point on, your backups will run automatically based on the schedule you choose. How easy is that?!

Global Roaming Access

Never be without that critical file again! With the SendOffsite Online Portal, you can login to your SendOffsite account from anywhere in the world, and have instant access to your backed up files.

Integrated Local Backup

Although the main focus of SendOffsite is to provide an "offsite" backup solution, our software also provides you with the ability to backup your files locally to an external hard drive, USB memory stick, a network drive, or even an iPod.

Privacy Protection

The SendOffsite system ensures complete privacy protection. We use a three-tiered encryption system that first encrypts data on the user's PC, again in transit over the internet, and again while at rest in storage.

You can also choose to use SendOffsite's "UltraSafe" mode which means not even our staff can view the files stored on our servers. Only the user who put it there can ever access the data.

This stands in contrast to most other offsite backup systems, where data is neither encrypted on your PC, nor stored as encrypted data so as to prevent employees of the software vendor from accessing stored data.

Compression and Transfer Systems

The SendOffsite backup system only backs up changed files, and even then, only the changed 1's and 0's within the files. That means that although your first backup may take some time, all subsequent backups will occur much more quickly. For example, on a 500 MB Quickbooks database, the daily transfer can be as small as 5 KB.

Intelligent File Filters

To help you backup exactly what you want, you can tell the SendOffsite Backup Utility to watch your /My Documents/ folder but to ignore all *.mp3's and *.avi's. Alternatively you can tell SendOffsite to only protect *.doc, and *.xls. You can either use our pre-set inclusion/exclusion masks, or set your own!

Powerful Recovery

Since SendOffsite keeps an unlimited version history of all your backed up files, you can easily roll back to any date in the past and restore older versions of your files. All this can be done from the SendOffsite Backup Utility software you get with your account.

One Click Sharing

From the SendOffsite Online Portal, you can easily share your files with anyone who has an email address. Never have a large attachment bounce again! With SendOffsite, simply share your already backed-up files with your colleagues.
